We cannot remove fungus or mold that has grown on and around the tape. Once mold sets in the tape are ruined.
Video tape splices are TEMPORARY at best and should be immediately copied to another tape or transferred to a DVD. Video tape splices can damage VCR heads with repeated use, so play the repaired tape sparingly. We recommend that you have the tape spliced and transferred to a Yes DVD. We do not accept any responsibility for damaged heads, or tears or damage in other places in repaired tapes, we will repair only the ones you tell us about, we do not have a way of inspecting the tape foot by foot. To repair the tape we may have to remove the damaged portions of the tape, this is unavoidable. At this time we only repair VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi 8mm and Mini-DV tapes, we can only replace the covers of VHS tapes.
See our Video tape to Yes DVD conversion service listed under the “Photo Finishing” button above.
