SLR Video Editing – This class will teach you the basics of video editing and get you comfortable with HD editing workflow. By the end of the class you will have a better knowledge and understanding of video formats and be able to off-load, edit, render and upload your videos. Class will begin by learning a little bit of history behind the editing process and how it was done in the good ole days. We will then learn about video codec (devices and software for video compression) and which ones are important for certain situations. Next wee will open up Adobe Premiere Elements and get comfortable with the program, then we will shoot and edit our own short commercial! About the teacher: Cinematographer and Spartanburg native; Corey Messer received a Bachelors in Film from Full Sail University. He has created film shorts, full-length film and music videos. Corey owns Green Giant Media in Spartanburg where he produces and directs his own projects.
